David Wolfe on Food Awakenings



The master and guru of raw foods and Superfoods will be on Food Awakenings on Thursday, July 23rd at 4pm Pacific time. I will be asking David about his new book Superfoods, how you can get started using superfoods in your life and why it is so important. We will also chat about his new and groundbreaking program Longevity Now. The information contained in the LN program is David's original research which pieces together how we age, why we age, and how to stop or slow down the process effectively. Part of the issue is the buildup of calcifications along the meridian lines, and I will ask him to explain this! He also mentions the importance of the ormus elements in optimal health, as well as paying attention to the immune system. Here are some of Steve's amazing Wild Food Recipes!!!



CREAMY CHICKWEED DRESSING

This dressing is low in fat, yet very rich in flavor.

4 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 cups water, 1 cup oil 3 to 4 cloves of garlic, 1 large potato, baked or boiled, a handful of fresh parsley or dill, black pepper, 1 to 2 cups of chickweed, pinch of salt

Blend all ingredients together in a food processor or blender until smooth.

Makes 16 servings.



Fruit Layer

6 cups mulberries (any species)
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons kudzu or arrowroot
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh wild spearmint or other mint
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon liquid stevia or 2 tablespoons honey, barley malt, or rice syrup
